How to become a CNA in Nassau County
- Gather your documents. High school diploma or GED (official transcript), Social Security card, and valid government-issued photo ID.
- Enroll in an approved program. Choose a NYS-licensed school and register with a faculty member before paying.
- Complete your training. Our CNA program is 125 hours over about four weeks: 95 classroom hours and a 30-hour clinical externship.
- Pass the Prometric exam. The state competency exam covers classroom and clinical skills. We host it on site for our enrolled students.
- Start your job search. We provide placement assistance to graduates (jobs are not guaranteed, per NYS regulations).
